In the Fall of 2018 Julie Jung and I built a doghouse for her two princesses, Iska and Nobu. Santa Fe, NM isn't known for extreme winters but even with a fur coat, being outside in the cold could be uncomfortable. But how cold is cold, and how effective is a doghouse against the weather? These are the questions that this project is trying to answer. Is the current construction of the doghouse sufficient for comfot or does insulation need to be added? What about in summer? The basic idea is to log outside and insaide temperature of the doghouse.
